SafeShare, LLC (“SafeShare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, us, protect, and disclose your Personal Data including when you use our website safeshare.me (the “Site”). The Site allows business customers (“Members”) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) consultants to enter into transactions to buy and sell services on a wide range of DEI topics (the “Service”).

1. What is Personal Data?

When we refer to “Personal Data” in this Policy, we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes or is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a specific person. Personal Data does not include information that is publicly available through government records or information that has been deidentified or aggregated in a way that it cannot be used to identify a specific individual.

2.What Personal Data Do We Collect?

Depending on how you use our Services, we may collect the following categories of Personal Data about you:

• Identifiers: Identifying and contact information that you may choose to provide when creating an account with us including your name, any alias you go by, postal address, phone number, biographical information, profile photo, location, email address, username, Social Media handles, or your accessibility status. We may also collect your IP address or unique personal online identifiers.
• Internet Activity: Your browsing history, search history, pages you click-on on the Site, the amount of time spent on the Site, when you visited the Site, your interactions with online advertisements, the website you visited prior to or after visiting the Site. 
• Communication Information:  Products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, and content of messages or emails you send to us, context of feedback or survey responses you send to us, comments you post on the Site, and comments or messages you post on our Social Media pages.
• Financial Information: When you order Services on the Site with your credit or debit card, you will need to provide certain financial information to our third-party payment processer, Stripe. We do not directly receive the card information you provide to Stripe, but Stripe will provide us with the contact information and last four digits of the card number you provided while completing your purchase of Services.
• Geolocation Data: Imprecise location information, like the country and city associated with your IP address.
• Employment Information: You may choose to share your employment history with us when you create an account on the Site. You can also upload copies of certificates you’ve earned.
• Sensitive Information: When you create an account or use the Services, you may choose to provide information considered sensitive under certain federal and state laws, such as information that reveals: (i) your racial or ethnic origin, (ii) your religious or philosophical beliefs; (iii) your sex life or sexual orientation, or (iv) your citizenship status.
• User Generated Information: other information you provide to us in connection with your access to and use of the Site and Services, such as your communications with other users of the Site, including project proposals and materials, and other similar types of information.
• Other information you provide to us.

3. What are the Sources of Personal Data We Collect?

We may collect Personal Data that you provide to us, that is collected automatically using technology, and from third parties in the ways described in this Policy.

PERSONAL DATA YOU PROVIDE US

You may provide your Personal Data to us when you access, use or otherwise interact with the Site. Below are some of the ways you provide us with your Personal Data.

• Purchasing Services through the Site.
• Creating an online account.
• Signing up to receive our marketing messages.
• Answering surveys or requests for feedback.
• Communicating with us over text or email.
• Signing up to receive offers, discounts, and other promotions.
• Visiting and interacting with the Site.

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU AUTOMATICALLY

Types of Personal Data Collected Through Technology. We use technology to automatically collect certain Personal Data when you visit our Site. For example, we may collect information such as the websites you visit before or after you visit the Site, online advertisements presented to you before visiting the Site, pages you click-on our Site, your IP address, imprecise location information, search requests, cookie information, browser type, operating system, date and time you visit the Site, the amount of time spent on the Site, and the device you use to access the Site. 

Cookies. When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect Personal Data about your use of the Site through cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Site saves onto your computer or device when you use the Site that allows the Site to remember your actions and preferences and recognize you or your browser, (“Cookies”). The Site may use both Cookies that we implement, and Cookies implemented by third parties.

PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU FROM THIRD PARTIES

We may collect Personal Data from various third-party companies, analytics and targeted marketing advertisers, social media sources, and public sources.

4. How do We Use Personal Data?

We may collect Personal Data about you in connection with our Platform for the following purposes:

• Administering Transactions. To process your account subscription payment(s).
• Operating the Site. (1) To operate the Site and to improve the functionality of the Site, including providing suggestions and recommendations for DEI professionals that we believe you may like to work with; (2) to improve your experience when you visit the Site; (3) to develop and improve the content, materials, products, and services that we make available through the Site; (4) to inform you of marketing and communication plans and strategies; (5) to evaluate user needs; (6) customize Site content; (7) improve your browsing and online search experience; and (8) to notify you of new features of our Site.
• Customer Service and Customer Communications. (1) to send you emails to provide you with alerts and updates to the Terms or this Policy; (2) to respond to your questions and provide customer service; (3) to communicate with you about your account and subscription status and updates; and (4) those purposes in which you authorize or instruct us to use your Personal Data.
• Account Creation and Maintenance. (1) to create your account; (2) to maintain your password; (3) to maintain your account settings; and (4) to manage your account and subscription.
• Marketing and Advertising Purposes. We may use your Personal Data to advertise and market to you including notifying you of special promotions, opportunities, offers and events via e-mail and other means. We also use Personal Data to serve you targeted ads. 
• To Perform Analytics. (1) To improve the content of the Site; (2) to enhance users’ experience when visiting our Site; and (3) to customize the content and/or layout of the pages on our Site.
• Business Purposes. We may use Personal Data for business purposes including but not limited to: (1) carrying out our obligations and enforcing our rights arising from any contracts we have entered into, including any contracts between you and us; (2) operating and improving our products and services; (3) conducting statistical or demographic analysis; (4) customizing your experience with our website; (5) preventing fraud; and (6) other business purposes permitted under applicable law.
• Legal Purposes. We may use Personal Data to cooperate with law enforcement or other legal purposes including: (1) complying with legal and regulatory requirements; (2) satisfying contractual obligations; (3) cooperating with law enforcement or other governmental agencies for purposes of investigations, public safety or matters of public importance when we are legally required to do so or believe that disclosure of Personal Data is necessary or appropriate to protect the public interest; and (4) protecting and defending against legal actions or claims.

5. Who Do We Share Personal Data With?

To operate our business, we may share Personal Data with third parties, including: 

• Service Providers.  We may share Personal Data in connection with the services our service providers provide to us, including, marketing, data hosting, payment processing, legal, business, and financial advisors, and fraud protection and prevention. We require these Service Providers to exercise reasonable care to protect your Personal Data and restrict their use of your Personal Data to the purposes for which we provided it to them.
• Marketing and Advertising Partners. We may share Personal Data to facilitate the delivery of targeted ads, promotions and offers to you, on our behalf.
• Parties to Business Transactions. In the event of an anticipated or actual merger or acquisition, bankruptcy or other sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer or allow third parties to use information owned or controlled by us, including Personal Data. We reserve the right, in connection with these types of transactions, to transfer, share, assign, or sell your Personal Data and other information we have collected to third parties or to authorize such third parties to use any such information including for due diligence as part of any of the transactions described in this paragraph. Any Personal Data you submit or that is collected after this type of transfer may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.
• Government or Law Enforcement. We may use Personal Data to cooperate with law enforcement or other legal purposes like complying with legal and regulatory requirements, satisfying contractual obligations, cooperating with law enforcement or other governmental agencies for purposes of investigations, public safety or matters of public importance when we are legally required to do so or believe that disclosure of Personal Data is necessary or appropriate to protect the public interest, or protecting and defending against legal actions or claims.
• Any third party to whom you consent and/or instruct us to provide your Personal Data.

SECURITY

We implement and maintain information security measures designed to protect Personal Data from the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. Your account is protected by your account password, and we urge you to take steps to keep your Personal Data safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. 

WHILE WE STRIVE TO PROTECT PERSONAL DATA, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA. YOU PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA AT YOUR OWN RISK.

ACCESS BY CHILDREN

The Site is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. The Site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian learns that their child provided us with Personal Data without his or her consent, please contact us at hello@safeshare.me and we will make commercially reasonable attempts to delete such Personal Data.

ACCESS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

The Site is only intended for users in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand and consent to the collection and processing of your Personal Data in the United States, regardless that certain governmental authorities may not consider the level of protection of Personal Data in the United States to be equivalent to that required by the European Union or other jurisdictions.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

For your convenience, the Site may link to, or be linked to, websites not maintained or controlled by SafeShare. This does not imply any affiliation with, or an endorsement, authorization, sponsorship or promotion of a non-SafeShare website or its owner. SafeShare is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any third-parties or any third-party websites. If you choose to access third-party websites, you do so at your own risk, and you should read the terms and conditions and privacy policies for each website that you visit.

SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES

SafeShare participates in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok (“Social Media”) that enable online sharing and collaboration among Members and Consultants. This Site may allow you to connect to and share information with these various social media platforms. These features may require us to implement Cookies, plug-ins, and application protocol interfaces (APIs) provided by those Social Media platforms to facilitate those communications and features.

By choosing to use any third-party social media platform or choosing to share content or communications with any social media platform, you share information with the designated social media platform. We cannot control any policies or terms of any third-party platforms. Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the third parties that own and operate those websites and not by this Policy. We encourage you to review those policies and terms. As a result, we cannot be responsible for any use of your Personal Data or content by a third-party platform, which you use at your own risk.YouTube. We use the YouTube application programming interface (API) Services to allow you to access YouTube content from our Site. Your use of YouTube is governed by YouTube’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and not by our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. 7. Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising Tools

We may use both persistent and session Cookies. Persistent Cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session Cookies expire when you close your browser.  We also use first-party and third-party Cookies. A first-party Cookie allows your web browser to talk to the actual website that you are visiting (i.e., the Services). A third-party Cookie allows your web browser to talk to a third-party provider providing services or features on the website you are visiting. 

We describe below some of the tools we use on our Site to collect information, including Personal Data for Targeted Advertising and Analytics and the options those tools provide to you to limit the use of remarketing or analytics for those tools.

ANALYTICS TOOLS

We use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics provider software tools on our Site to learn more about how visitors navigate the Site and view content. These third-party analytic providers set Cookies when you visit our Site and then your web browser automatically sends data to them such as URLs of the websites that you visited prior to visiting the Site, when you visit those websites, and IP addresses assigned to the devices from where you access the Internet. These third-party analytics providers provide SafeShare with analytical information that we use to improve the Site, to make sure it is easy to use and to develop content that is both interesting, and customized. 

Google Analytics. To prevent this data from being used by Google Analytics, follow the instructions to download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each web browser you use. Using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on will not prevent us from using other analytics tools and will not prevent data from being sent to the Site itself or to Google. Opting out will not affect your use of the Site. INTEREST-BASED ADVERTISING TOOLS

Google Ads. We also use Google Ads, an online advertising service provided by Google, to serve targeted ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on the Site. To opt out of remarketing advertising provided through Google, to customize your ad preferences, or to limit Google’s collection or use of this information, visit Google’s Safety Center and Google’s Ad Settings and follow Google’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. Opting out will not affect your use of the Site.Klaviyo. We use Klaviyo’s API services to provide our electronic marketing materials to you. If you sign up for our Services, we may share your Personal Data with Klaviyo in order to provide you with our electronic marketing materials and other information about our Services. 8. Your Personal Data Choices

Below, we describe ways for you to exercise control over your Personal Data online, generally, and when you interact with us.

Update Your Contact Information: You may update your contact information and communication preferences by contacting us as described below or logging into your online account.

Delete Cookies on Your Browser: Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can disable this function by changing your browser settings but disabling cookies may impact your use and enjoyment of the Site. You cannot disable all Cookies, such as Cookies that are essential to the functioning of the Site. You can manually delete persistent Cookies, or Cookies that track your activity across websites, through your browser settings. 

Configure Your Device: The electronic device you use to access the Site may offer additional privacy settings; please see the device settings for details. Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising, you will still receive advertisements, but they will be more general in nature.

Consumer Resources: To change your preferences with respect to certain online ads and to obtain more information about third-party ad networks and online behavioral advertising, visit National Advertising Initiative Consumer opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Program. Changing your settings with individual browsers or ad networks will not necessarily carry over to other browsers or ad networks. As a result, depending on the opt-outs you request, you may still see our ads.

Opt Out of Marketing Communications: If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from us, including emails, we may collect your name and email. We use this information to send you promotional and other electronic communications. We may use third-party providers to deliver communications to you. You may opt-out of marketing emails by using the “Unsubscribe” link in the email or contacting us at  hello@safeshare.me with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of communications about your account or transactions.

Closing Your Account: You may close your account with us by contacting us as described below. Upon your request to close your account, will deactivate your account and archive your information should you wish to reactivate it. If you request that we delete your account, we will promptly and permanently delete your account and associated Personal Data unless we have a legal or business need, pursuant to applicable law, to retain the information.

Do Not Track: The Site is not configured to honor Do Not Track Signals.

9. California Shine the Light

Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, if you are a California resident, you have the right to obtain: (a) a list of all third parties to whom we may have disclosed your personal information, as defined in the relevant law, within the past year for direct marketing purposes, and (b) a description of the categories of personal information disclosed, by contacting us per the “Contact Us” Section below.
